Music & Movement & Storytime

Music and movement are important at every stage of a child’s development and can be brought together in our fun, interactive program. Our programs include music with activities to further refine children's fine and gross motor skills. Along with storytime and occasionally bubbles. 

No registration required for any of the programs listed below.

You are welcome to attend as many programs and you do not need to be from one of the nine communities we serve.

Monday

10:00 AM Sensory Storytime with Northeast Arc (*Starts September 23)

Storytime includes singing, active play, stories, and art activities. For children 18-60 months with caregiver participation.

Tuesday

11:00 AM Preschool Storytime

Stories, songs, and occasional crafts. For children 3-5 years old, without caregiver participation. (independent)

4:00 PM Storybook Theater Company

An exploratory acting experience for creative folks! Children will read from scripts adapted from well-known stories, and use fun props. No experience required. For children in grades K-5, without caregiver participation (independent).

Wednesday

10:00 AM Baby Signs (Oct 2 - Nov 6); Babies & Books (Nov 13 - Dec 18)

Session 1 (Baby Signs): Fun games, songs, and activities highlight developmental skills and teach 37 infant/toddler signs. Session 2 (Babies & Books): Stories, rhymes, finger plays, and songs. For children ages 0-18 months, with caregiver participation.

Thursday

10:00 AM Time for Toddlers

Stories, rhymes, finger plays, and songs. For children ages 18-36 months, with caregiver participation.

5:30 PM Bucket Drumming (*Starts September 26)

Learn and explore sound and rhythm with bucket drumming and other (sometimes unexpected) percussion instruments. For children in grades K-5, with or without caregiver participation.

Friday

10:00 AM Jammin' with Jen

A sing-along program. For children ages 2 and up, with caregiver participation.

4:00 PM Build It!

A hands-on exploration of science and engineering ideas, inspired by PBS Kids' Design Squad. For children in grades K-5, without caregiver participation (independent).
